Tucked away in the scenic Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario, a thrilling mountain coaster awaits adventure seekers. This ride, known as the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster, allows riders to choose their own speed as they journey through the surrounding forest.

Inaugurated in 2011, the Ridge Runner replaced the resort's original summer attraction, The Great Slide Ride, which had been thrilling visitors down the mountain on plastic sleds since 1977. With 45 carts and accommodating up to 2,000 riders on a typical summer day, the Ridge Runner is a popular destination for thrill-seekers of all ages.

Access to the Ridge Runner is granted with a full-access Adventure park ticket, which also includes other exciting attractions such as the Canopy Climb Net Adventure, Cascade Putting Course, and Lumber Lanes Climbing Centre.

Weekday summer rates for the Adventure park are $49, while weekends and holidays increase to $74. Prices can reach up to $104 depending on the season. The pass also grants access to Plunge! Aquatic Centre, Skywalk Challenge High Ropes, Wind Rider Triple Zips, hiking and biking trails, and Blue Mountain's private beach, which officially opens this July.

All attractions operate rain or shine (except for the Ridge Runner). The mountain coaster is open year-round, operating from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday to Sunday, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
